Consolewd and Rasberry Pi 3 and WDL

As the subject describes.
Is/are Consolewd and Rasberry Pi 3 and WDL compatible?
Ie can consolewd supply ftp data frequently enough for WDL.

I have spent ages trawling through the forum but not discovered the relevant information.

Also which consolewd for Raspberry Pi 3, 32 or 64 bit?

Thanks

Roly

yes, consolewd can be set to create the clientraw.txt file for WDL
and has a cronftpreal program to ftp that

and even can create the customclientraw for the steel gauges

the raspberry pi3 is 64 bit

Thank you.

I now have the confidence to persevere!

No doubt there may be more unanswered questions that I can

Got it up and running and feeding WDL.

Took ages to get ftp up and running. Turned out ftp wasn

hey, good stuff you got it working

Well two years on and troublefree data gathering. Then the SD card disk in the Raspberry failed.
Now is the time to regret not taking an image of the card. I had a copy of the consolewdfiles directory, but not the elusive libhid and libusb libraries.

I took the opportunity to upgrade to a raspberry pi 4.

The libhid was modified perfectly Wims instruction, but threw up error 1 and error 2 messages v
I gave up on the libusb.

I copied the relevant files to /usr/lib and /usr/local/lib anyway.

Ran up consolewd and was not surprised to see a lack of communication with the Davis weather station. Gave up and went to bed.

Fiddled about impotently thus morning but no joy.

Tried one more reboot and ran up consolewd and it worked! I have no idea why. However after 10 mins the program would hang during an ftp cycle.

I replaced the whole consolewdfiles new release directory with the two year old one and now it works fine. Both directories have the selfsame config.txt.

It’s all a bit messy with no proper answers. But it works and I shall leave well alone.

The moral is take an image copy of the disk!
