Temperature stuck on 44.4C

Hi

WD temperature has been stuck on 44.4C for the last couple of days.

Can someone suggest what options I could try.

which version of WD?
(that info should always be provided)

oh, I see you put that in the quoted question (made it hard to see that)

have you tried restarting WD?
does the outdoor temperature show OK on the weather station console?
what happened/changed when the problem occured?

My console does not display anymore, has been like that for about 6 months. Even though the display does not show the data was still coming through to WD. We did have a power cut here while I was away for a few days.

I have restarted WD and tried using the meter for Temperature but could not get that to work. I think I am having a few problems with weather station now it’s over 10 years old.

do the temperature is not working on the hardware side?

Yep, it looks like I have hardware problems, Humidity, Baro and temp not working. I have managed to use NZAA meter to display humidity and baro but it will no display the temperature in WD. Still stuck on 44.4

it will be stuck on the last reading provided by the sensor (even if that was in error)

its not very clear, but do you want WD to use the temperature from a metar instead of from the davis station?

it would be good if you could provide all relavant detailed information all at once

Yes I would like WD to use temp from Meter until I sort out the hardware problems, I need someway to override the temperature that is stuck.

I have only discovered these problems since I got back from Aussie last night.

I have ticked that now and restarted WD but still stuck on 44.4.

you could try entering a more realistic temperature under input daily weather, enter manual weather condtions

I entered 16 in the manual weather conditions, pressed OK and it displays briefly on WD main screen then goes back to 44.4. Tried this a few times.

for some reason
with your settings files
when I go to the metar download
it has set to use NZWP.TXT instead of NZAA.TXT
(click on the NZAA.TXT in the download list to select that)
(maybe you had tried to use the wellington metar?)

but also untick to use the metar data to update WD data (as that means the com port data , e.g for windspeed/rain) gets disconnected) ( i put you wrong there)

but also use the latest .zip update, as the problem is, the temperature data was not being used if the barometer data was also being set to be used (only that data settings)
(is your barometer also not working on the console?)

I have set to NZAA.TXT now, I had tried the Whenuapai metar.

Have unticked metar to update WD

Have installed latest zip.

I have unticked barometer, that seems to be working.

using your settings (set to the correct metar) and connected to my spare VP console
WD shows the temperature from the auckland metar OK (and not 44c)
are you sure you are using the latest .zip update?

try downloading again
as I have added some debug code under view debug info , about the temperature data used from the metar
i.e like
decoded temp from metar value =13.0
raw hum from metar100
decoded hum from metar value =100

so you know you have the latest version
