I’m testing weather display with a raspberry pi 2 and I newbie with weather display software. I’ve running ConsoleWD fine with my Davis Vantage Pro, but I don’t know what other software I need to create the website with data collecting ConsoleWD.
Welcome to this forum, and welcome to the large group of weather enthousiasts developing their website.
What you need:
space for your website at a provider
a FTP program to upload your website pages, although consoleWD can do the basic things
And then you have to decide if you go to develop your own website or use a template to give you a jumpstart.
ConsoleWD supports uploading up to 5 separate pages. Those can be very small simple HTML pages or large PHP or txt files to be processed by a weather-website template. ConsoleWD also uploads the 4 real time clientraw??.txt files to be used by scripts on your website. So you can, as numerous others have done, start with some books and build the site from scratch.
Or use a Template: Saratoga-Template already available for 10 years, developed and maintained by Ken True, on this forum known as saratogaWX :
Information: Saratoga-Weather.org - Website Templates - AJAX/PHP - Installation
As consoleWD and WeatherDisplay are from the same author, you could use the widely used Saratoga template by following the WD descriptions.
