xc0422 with wd

Hi. I’ve just bought the xc0422 also known as the ws1001.
I’m having trouble understanding how to get data from the station.
i have ticked the acue WS1001 box and also the use from this ip address ticked.

do I have to make changes to the file stored on the weather station xc0422.

If so, i am finding it a bit confusing.

the online instructions talk about www.weatherdisplay.com being the website that you send data to.

the problem being that i don’t as yet have a website.

I would like to see the data on the main screen of weather display and let wd send the data to a website when i get one setup.

i hope the is clear to understand.

I think you are talking about the WIFI Pro
does it have USB to the pc?
if so, try plugging that in
and then tick in the setup in WD to use direct data connection

The manual says “Note: The USB port in the console of weather station is only for software update, not for data communication.” :dontknow:

it does work
my brother has one of these stations and WD can get data direct via the USB (and that is working great)
but we did have to upgrade the firmware on the station
I do have a test program to see what is working for the http/multicast method

thanks all. will look at getting a usb cable.

you may have to update the firmware on the station
have you tested the test program, link above?
and you may have to set the station reporting to wunderground (setup to connect to wifi connection first)

I also ment to say that i’m still using windows xp. do you know if that would still work this this weather station.

you will need to be using the latest version of WD
there is a way to run that on XP
you need to have XP updated
there is a number of threads about how to run the latest version on XP
