Hi Brian. If you watch my last hour video, its very pixelated. My camera shot itself is very clear. What setting would you recommend that I change for the video’s?
Thanks

there are a number of threads about this
I use myself
320 x 240
300 bitrate
15 frame rate
10,000 delay
but I also use the mp4 option (wmv is hardly used now?)
also though you do not say which version of WD (and which version of movie maker)
Ive been using the same settings since day 1 from 2008. Running build 53 of WD.
I’ll double check my other settings compared to yours.
I’ve kept using the .wmv for now, but did change the other settings closer to yours. I’ll see how that looks.
what size (width and height) are the original images
Ill check on that when i get home, and to see how the video quality is now since making those changes.
The video doesn’t look any better using your settings.
I have it set for 640x480 in the webcam setup. Should I make that smaller?
but what is the actual image size
I believe its the same. I just checked my website and it also show 640x480.
all you need to do is open one of the time stamped files in a program like microsoft paint and it will tell you the image width and height
…or right click on the file in file explorer, Properties, Detail
640x480
have you tried setting to use mp4 instead?
I haven’t yet, that is going to be my next step.
Wow, that’s a huge difference 8O
Yeah, blew my mind too. Looks great.
looks good
what size is the all day video mp4 file at the end of the day
About 36mb for a whole day. I have my settings at 5am to 9pm.
