Moviemaker issue since it was updated in 10.37SBuild14

Hi Brian,

The new Moviemaker.exe shows errors and fails to create any video - noticed it a while back and switched to using the old version pre 10.37SB14. I thought it may have been an OS issue, but have changed this recently and upgraded WD again but this has not made any difference. I have noticed that the moviemakerlog.txt file shows date compare issues - see extract below:

Will create last day video
10:33:13 a.m. 04/29/2017
Movie Maker mp4 vers 3.9
Looking for images files between hours 9 and 10
File date error 09:00 : file time/date 12/30/1899, current time/date 04/29/2017
File date error 09:01 : file time/date 12/30/1899, current time/date 04/29/2017
File date error 09:02 : file time/date 12/30/1899, current time/date 04/29/2017
File date error 09:03 : file time/date 12/30/1899, current time/date 04/29/2017
File date error 09:04 : file time/date 12/30/1899, current time/date 04/29/2017…

I don’t think the actual timestamped files are at fault as have checked manually, and if I swap in the old version of moviemaker.exe WD creates videos with them just fine.

Currently running on 10.37Sb47 on Windows 10

Any thoughts?

Kind regards,

Ian.

I use version 3.9 myself without this problem
that version has been available since January
but I have not seen any other similar reports of a problem
so not sure exactly why you are getting an error

you could try resetting the directory location where its looking for the time stamped files maybe
also you could try deleting all the time stamped files it uses (and so let them get recreated)
