In WD Com Port settings it gives me the choices for two comm ports - e.g. 3 & 6
When Windows 10 does an update I have noticed that on reboot the WD com Port selected no longer works. Windows seems to re-allocate com port numbers so it’s a simple task to click on one of radio buttons and all is well.
I was just wondering if there is a way of permanently allocating the com port number so I don’t receive this communication issue with my Davis Envoy.
I appreciate this is a Windows question rather than WD.
