UV = 255 in WDL

While WD seems to be able to handle the null reading (by not displaying anything over 13, I think), it still gets displayed in WDLive.

Running WD 10.37S32 and WDL 6.09 in Win 10 Pro

WDL gets its data from the clientraw.txt file
is that 255 value showing up in that file ?
if so I can check on that

Q: is this for live data for WDL or are you meaning for graph data?

Live data for WDL so I presume it’s in clientraw.txt. (I only noticed yesterday when I was changing the OS UV sensor batteries and forgot to re-register it with the console, so it’s not showing 255 today.)

WDL graph (attached) shows 25. . .

so it was just a temporary thing due to a hardware problem?

Oh, yes. . . but I didn’t think WDL should show 255 - ever!

On reflection, however, maybe it’s a good idea to have a distinction between “The UV reading is 0” and “There is no UV reading”?

i can add a check to make sure the uv data going into the clientraw.txt will not go over an expected reading
at least though it made you aware that there was a hardware issue

Wait a bit and see what other users think?

I agree with that, making bad data look like good data is not a good idea IMHO.

Good enough for me. . . After all, he’s 147 years older than I am!
