Auto Compare "Not Responding"

I doubt it’s a problem with the program, it may just by my laptop. When I run auto compare both the writ, and auto compare screens give me a ‘not responding’ error. Does anybody an idea of what I can do?

Hi Rick,

The analysis scan typically has a HUGE amount to do, and can take half an hour sometimes. While its working, if you try to interrupt it, it will generally say the program is not responding. I should probably find a way to add a progress bar or something to let you know it’s not really frozen. One cause can be too many old forecast files, especially if you are running forecasts almost every hour. How far back do your forecasts go, and how many per day do you have?

My forecasts go back to early Oct '16, and I’ve been running about 14 forecasts a day. I’ll chill down to 8 forecasts a day, and wait a month or two, and try it again.
