When I press the “Start Preview” button in IP Camera setup the preview shows for about 2 seconds and then goes to a black screen.
this is what the log says on the left side of the screen when I do this.

http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/wdwebcamcapture.zip
try downloading again the latest update
after update. no change
try downloading again another update

So that is fixed now, but now I have an issue with the videos no longer getting created
that is not related to the version of the wdwebcamcapture
and there has been no changes to the way movies have been created for a while
try deleting the time stamped files so that new ones are created (you might have some corrupted ones)
