So I put El Cap on my old (test) mac to confirm WD will run.
I went with the startech cable and driver instead of triplite
When I launched WD, it appeared to be working fine. The VP importer came on and seemed to grab the missing data.
But when that was done and WD was running, it just sat there. The beach ball was spinning, CPU was at 100% and NO data was populating in the WD window
I left it alone for a few minutes, no change.
I guess I could see if the Triplite cable and driver work better.
Thoughts?
update Same thing with the triplite U209 cable (which I currently use on Yosemite) and the driver for it
