Time Sync

Ok my station has been down for a few years due to a move where I could not use it, so I am trying to bring it back online but had a question that did not fit. I started with a XP system then went to Win 7 before I brought it down. Now I am up to Win 10 with no issues with WD or other sensors. The question I have is I use to use Atomtime Pro to keep system synced to the correct time. I noticed that it does not work very well in Win 10 so I wanted to check with experts out there if we need this anymore or is there a newer way to do this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Give this try. Working so for me on Win10.

Thanks I will

This is the solution, works perfectly, and no program to install.

I’ve always used the built in time sync since 95 and have never had a problem.

The GPS time that Mick references above is very accurate and interesting if your PC time is really critical for e.g. a seismograph.

What kind of GSP card and mod?

Niko,

No real reason to be critical with time so using Win 10 will work. I am curious about the GPS card sounds interesting.

So the reason I mentioned TimeSync, is because I’m using that on my security cam server. Time sync also creates a NTP server that the cams can sync to. It’s important that the time stamps on security cams and PC are accurate and jive with one another. This allows everything to update every thirty minutes or more often if need be.

Anyway, that’s why it was the first thing that came to mind. YMMV.

Gps mod makes a 1pps output
