Have I missed the point?

I have been using a WH1081 type station for some years now (since 2009), largely without issues.

My old windows PC died, however, and I have been moving things onto a small linux box which controls my solar thermal and heating system.

I thought that, consolewd would be this replacement - essentially generating and uploading the same FTP page that wdisplay itself does?

I have been having incredible issues making this work - from the first hurdle of actually finding a download bundle that works on Ubuntu, rather than the Raspberry Pi, issues with 32 bit executables on 64 bit linux, issues with permissions on the raw USB device and so on… I finally managed to get things working, only to find that what is uploaded is just a raw text file?

I’m looking at the Leuven Template - is this required to parse the text file into a friendly web page?

basically, I am having so much hassle that I find myself wondering if I am coming at this the wrong way around?

Ian

consolewd will convert custom tags (not all that the windows version does)
you need to create a testtags.txt or wxlocal.html file
and set the remote filename
in the config.txt
