NOAA warnings under Publications needs to be updated

OK, use vers 5.2
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/wdxmlwarning.zip

Brian,

Updated to the latest version 5.2.

  1. if you select the setup button and then choose a state and select go, you get double of the same counties.
  2. If you don’t select the setup button and select the state and select go, you get one of each county like you should.

Installed 5.2 but %NOAAEvent% continues to display “Air Quality Alert issued June 19 at 4:35PM EDT by NWS” instead of only “Air Quality Alert”.

@davest123
ok, sorted that issue now, vers 5.3
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/wdxmlwarning.zip

@CurtisZM
I do not follow what you are meaning?
what is the setup button?

Looks like 5.3 is a winner! The tags now display only Air Quality Alert. (Lovely!) Thanks so much for your persistence!

Brian,

I downloading vers 5.3 at http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/wdxmlwarning.zip
When I try to open the zip it says that it is corrupted. I use the NOAA Event in my banner below.
Please reload to server.

Thanks,
Gus

Gus, you might have downloaded it as it was being uploaded
try again now

Retry worked. =D>
Thanks

Brian,

I cannot send you an attachment. Here is the error. The file is only 28K

Your attachment couldn’t be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.

Please consult your server administrator for more information.

Just stopped by here to hopefully find a solution to this issue which most of you seem to have fixed but following the steps, nothing is fixed for me.

The steps I saw earlier didn’t talk about running the program, but I did, and that didn’t matter. Have the new wdisplay and the latest 5.4 version of the new program. Took WD down, installed the new wdisplay, upgraded the new exe, ran the new exe, closed it?, and brought WD back up. My WS still says “Advisory Information Unavailable, error fetching or reading data from the NOAA advisories server.” Did I mess up a step?

Thanks!
Lew

Do you mean you installed the current version of WD? Your site says " Weather-Display (10.37R-(b80))" so maybe you are still running the old wdisplay.exe and not the new one called weatherdisplay.exe ?

Well, good point  I have been using a shortcut on the desktop that went to weatherd.exe…so it was running a 2014 version. Changed to weatherdisplay.exe and was surprised by the new console look.

Anyway, that didn’t solve the issue.

Not knowing for sure what is supposed to happen, but when I run the wdxmlwarning program, it already shows NM and NMZ519. If I click the GO button to the left of New Mexico, the status bar (green dots) goes half way and stops. It never pulls up a list which I have seen others mention.

Here in New Mexico, we are called the forgotten state, as if you go from Texas to Arizona…

Thanks Niko!

Your template may require some updates to display the NOAA warnings…

Hope this helps,
Gus

Thanks for the info…some of that may not apply to the B’Ville version, but the warnings were fine until the page changed it seems. So even though there are some older things that could use updating, I don’t know if they are related to this issue.

I just tried New Mexico and it pulled in a list of zones OK

Hello sir, Not sure what you saw or where you saw it. My comments are to the area on the home screen where the warnings are displayed, and it still says: “Advisory Information Unavailable, error fetching or reading data from the NOAA advisories server.”

The Advisories page has the same section with the same error: Rio Rancho New Mexico Area Weather - Watches/Warnings/Advisories

This error just started in the last week or so.

Thanks

then that means you need to update your script, due to the changes to https
and is not related to the updated wdxmlwarning.exe program, which this thread is about

Sorry, I am too ignorant to know which was which…didn’t get a reply to my last script help request (not here) so I am not sure how it will go this time.

Thanks

there are already though other threads about updates to the scripts that use the ATOM server feed etc I think you will find

Just change your URL’s to the NWS from http: to https: in your advisory script.
