I set up a task schedule to start WD when windows starts but when I log off it seems to close down the program.
Is there a way to keep the program open after I log off? I share this pc with my wife and son so I need to log off so they can log in some times.

I think the only way would be to have it run as a service?

It appears in the control panel/hardware and sound/power options folder there might be some options. I’ll check when I get home tonight.
Answered my own question here. First, go to power options and set your hard drive to never turn off. Next, click the power/sleep. This will keep your programs running but will wake up to the login screen if/when another user wants to log in.
I’m using windows 8/10 btw
Upon further experimentation, the best answer is to click on the “lock” button. This will lock the screen but keep everything going. And then when you or another family member logs in it will not disrupt the running programs.
