Real time problem at startup [solved]

lHi every one and body,

In case of power out, my PC reboots auto when power comes back.
WD then restarts auto also. I use “StartWatch” to have WDMysSQL
restart also, no problem.

Where the problem is, is the fact that Control Panel → Web Files/Web Page Rea Time… → Real Time clientraw… → Start now
does NOT trigger.

So the web site loads OK but is NEVER live updated.

Question: Is there something to set to have live weather run on startup???

Thanks for the help.

Regards.

is the switch on the real time ftp setup?
the clientrawrealtimeftp.exe should start up auto after a few minutes of WD getting live data

Thanks for the answer Brian,

Yes the real time ftp button is ‘ON’

Sometimes it does NOT trigger.

If I enforce ‘clientrawrealtimeftp.exe’ to start with “StartWatch”
will it cause a possible problem (two instances tunning) or not?

Thanks, regards.

are you sure you are waiting long enough after WD starts up?
(to check to see if it is running)

Brian thanks,

Is about 15 hours long enough…?

Regards.

it should start up after a couple of minutes
do you have the main internet switch on in the connections setup in the FTP/internet setup?

I do not have any other reports of this particular problem so I suspect its something about your setup

Thanks Brian,

do you have the main internet switch on in the connections setup in the FTP/internet setup?

Answer is NO as long as panel says:

“General FTP to ftp non WD files or…” As long as I do not need this feature I did not turn it on.
My testtags.php is uploading OK, NOAA files also and when real time is running, everything is OK.

So what should I do?

  • Activate the General FTP button?
  • enforce ‘clientrawrealtimeftp.exe’ to start with “StartWatch” after 10 seconds?

Thanks, regards.

I do not know why you have this problem
I do not have any other reports of this problem
it will be something about your setup
if you could post some screen shots

Hi Brian,

If you want more for other pages, let me know.

Thanks, regards.
