correcting snow totals

Brian,

I am trying to correct some snow depth totals and I have seen where you can change data in the xxxxxlg2.txt file. When I look at my 32016lg2.txt file, these are the only data I see:

High soil Low soil High temp Low temp Snow Depth
-0.40 4.4 14.1 -3.6 0
0.10 4.4 16.2 4.1 0
0.00 4.4 16.6 -0.5 0
-0.10 4.4 16.2 0.9 0
-0.20 4.4 17.2 -1.3 0
-0.10 4.4 20.4 5.9 0
-0.30 4.4 13.6 0.3 0
-0.60 4.4 9.4 -1.7 0
-0.20 4.4 13.4 -3.5 0
-0.10 4.4 19.2 -0.8 0
-0.20 4.4 22.5 -0.2 0
-0.30 4.4 19.3 2.9 0
-0.40 4.4 18.6 8.3 0
-0.20 4.4 17.6 4.1 0
-0.20 4.4 8.8 -0.3 0
-0.20 4.4 8.8 -0.3 0
-0.20 4.4 3.1 -2.6 4.97
-0.20 4.4 -0.2 -6.1 11.87
-0.20 4.4 1.9 -7.5 0
-0.20 3.9 13.8 -9.2 0
-0.20 4.4 22.7 0.2 0

I have the box checked in input daily weather that says: log current snow depth instead of high soil temp

Bill

where is the snow depth info/data coming from?

Brian,

The data comes from the laser snow depth sensor. the dallas 1 wire reader converts the information and puts it in WD. I can calculate the snowfall and snowdepth with the lr4 program which takes the measurements every hour. I need to know if I where I need to place the snow depth measurements to show in the snow reports script. The file 32016lg2.txt only allows me to enter the snowfall amount.

Bill

the snow depth measurements are in the logfile

but they are negative
which occurs it seems when there is no snow
I have made it so that a negative value is set to a zero value
in the latest .zip update

Brian,
Thank you for the answer to my question. I am curious as to what the 4.4 data figure is for.

Bill

low soil

I have another .zip update as because when I stopped the minus snow depth that stopped any snow from working from the lazer 1 wire reader

Brian,
Thanks for the heads up on the zip update. I am waiting for this blizzard to pass to do the new update and correct another snowfall amount.

Bill
