It seems WD is reporting in French wind-directions, not in N E S W ?
For East it is Oest and so on. Have to check where to patch. Some letters are the same in English as in French, others point the wrong direction.
But it is CET here, so it will be tomorrow for your time zone.
Wim
ok thanks…but its the first time i notice that in more than a year
cheers
Hi again…im searching for, where to go to change the wind direction icon size a bit in the ajax dashbord
thanks
Would you ever consider including a page to include a photo album of some description
I think that is an example of a page which should run in an iframe.
There are dozens of scripts/how-to descriptions to start with. Such a “page/scripts” needs no weather-data, no template functions a.s.o.
The page can be tested stand-alone until everything works OK and then used as a separate page in a new-page/ iframe, or in an iFrame in a banner.
Wim
This is the wiKi part describing how to change the windrose names to get the proper image with the non-english wind-directions.
The change can occur when installing a new version of WD as it is a single setting which changes local or english names for the wind-directions.
Wim
In the CSS: styleColom20.css
.colImgWind {padding: 10px; vertical-align: middle; width:96px; height:96px; float: left;}
Wim
Ok thjanks for the image resize
If you have time,id like you to check if possible, the wind direction image update…compared to de steelseries, looks like theres something wrong…everything is updating normally except the wind direction…
Yesterday,it was the image pointing the wrong way hehehe
thanks
EDIT…what is the update time for the wind dir ind the ajax ?..is it the same for the other data?
I answered that already 2 post back. The cause is the french wind directions. All wind-directions should be in english. See previous post for the link to the WiKi describing making french version for the windrose images if they are not in english.
Wim
Yes,i know and saw that
ive edited my previous post to…what is the update time for the wind dir inthe ajax ?..is it the same for the other data?
thanks
Certainly, all ajax data is updated at the same moment. But if there is no fresh data from WD the result will be the same.
If you haven an error could you make a (small) screenshot? So i can see what is wrong?
Thanks, Wim
Well,i dont know if its really an erroer but,If im right, steelseries are uptating with the same file as ajax…Right?
The steelseries direction gauge is updating more often than the ajax one…
so thats my questionnings
see the difference here http://meteolacstjean.com/weather28/index.php
Both use their own special different file, based on available data.
Ajax uses wind direction in text-format, Steelseries in degrees.
Can cause different results. Will look into it more in detail shortly,
Wim
Ahh ok…it explains it…thanks
Why cant i have Yowindow to show my own live data ?..
crossdomain.xml is in /public_html/
WD is set up to produce yowindo.xml and uploaded in /uploadWD
ive read and re read the http://leuven-template.eu/dokuwiki28/doku.php?id=en:yowindow
looked/searched here too http://leuven-template.eu/dokuwiki28/doku.php?do=search&id=YoWindow+XML

link of clientraw: http://meteolacstjean.com/weather28/uploadWD/clientraw.txt
thanks
EDIT…on my site, its the original ajax image folder
Others having that problem ?..East wind but showing West on the template …
thanks
For both our native language in not English, so maybe I explained not good enough. I try to explain once more.
To get a wind-rose on your dashboard the following is done:
WeatherDisplay uploads the wind-direction => scripts generate name of the image => image is loaded in the browser
If WD uploads in English the W (as wind from the West ) the resulting image is http://meteolacstjean.com/weather28/ajaxImages/wr-fr-W.png
If If WD uploads in French the O (as wind from the Ouest ) the resulting image is http://meteolacstjean.com/weather28/ajaxImages/wr-fr-O.png which is the same image as the English one, but with a different name. This is all correct on your site when testing with your site today.
If WD uploads an E for either East or Est the correct image is displayed as both French and English use the same letter.
For French wind-directions, only the image SSO SO OSO O ONO NO NNO should be copied from the English ones (SSW SW WSW W WNW NW NNW)
So it seems impossible to me to have opposite images , when the wind is from the East as both the English and French wind-direction is named E.
I checked your site and your friends at http://www.meteoinfostalphonse.com/weather28/
The wind was coming from the NO (North-West in English) and the image was correctly http://www.meteoinfostalphonse.com/weather28/ajaxImages/wr-fr-NW.png
So if you see an error next time, right click the image => Choose open image on new tab => copy the link. Post here the direction the wind was coming from and the link.
===
The coding of the image wr-fr-NW.png is:
wr- for wind-rose
fr- for the image displayed as users prefer on the image the local language direction letters
NW for the winddirection, English letters are preferred.
There are also FOUR + 1 words to have (copy) of images for East South North West and Calm
So this is the default image for wind from the West (vent oriental) in French http://weather-template.nl/weather28/ajaxImages/wr-fr-W.png
As you can see the English direction is used in the img name, but the letters on the image are in french (the O replaces the W).
