Having not checked my WDL webpage for quite some time, I was greeted by the serial number error page. I did some checking in my xml config, and all seemed to match my original serial I recevied.
I then checked the page in Microsoft Edge (as well as original IE) and it seems to work fine. I also ran the experiment on another WDL page, and same thing happened.
Is there something unusual in the way Chrome asks webservers for pages, that may be dropping off the www. for example ?
I opened that and could not notice anything standing out (although to be truthful, I probably wouldn’t recognise anything error based either… :? )
I have some apache access_logs if that would help, but from a quick glance, it is just 304 not modified, and 200 OKs. The only 404 I have is for Edge / IE complaining there is no favicon.ico, which is correct - there isn’t one.
OK - it seems I have to do some homework on my particular Chrome install. Your website failed (the same serial number error), however, my wife could access both sites fine on Chrome on her laptop.
If so I suggest you try getting some help on a Chrome forum since it doesn’t appear to be a WDL problem. You could also completely uninstall/re-install Chrome.
In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu.
Select Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager.
Click the “Organize” menu in the manager.
Select Export bookmarks.
Chrome will export your bookmarks as an HTML file, which you can then import into another browser.
