I may have resolved…

I forced WD to re-create a testtags.php and upload it.

All my status’s are green and almanac looks right.

Will let this run for a while

I spoke too quickly…

testtags.php is not updating again

I have been on this build (262) for nearly a month and haven’t made any changes to any settings, so Im
clueless as to why its not updating all of a sudden.

Screen Shot 2015-12-30 at 4.44.33 PM.png

any ideas why the testtags.php is not getting updated automatically

again been on this build (262) for nearly a month and made NO changes to any settings.

Odd…

I’ve seen some strange things happen on a Mac that turned out to be permissions … try deleting the testtags.php file and it will be created again by WD at the next update … hopefully this will fix it

Thanks,

No luck …

Now the stuff it does at midnight to update the web page doesn’t work.

Btw here are the permissions for testtag files:

Pauls-iMac:webfiles Paul$ ls -l test*
-rw-r–r–+ 1 Paul staff 37163 Dec 31 06:39 testtags.php
-rw-r–r–@ 1 Paul staff 47239 Sep 6 13:22 testtags.txt
Pauls-iMac:webfiles Paul$

I thought I read somewhere here about permissions on the main WD folders (contents etc) so here are mine:

Pauls-iMac:weatherdisplay.app Paul$ pwd
/Applications/weatherdisplay.app
Pauls-iMac:weatherdisplay.app Paul$ ls -l
total 0
drwxr-xr-x@ 6 Paul admin 204 Jun 4 2015 Contents
Pauls-iMac:weatherdisplay.app Paul$ cd Contents
Pauls-iMac:Contents Paul$ ls -l
total 16
-rwxr-xr-x@ 1 Paul admin 263 Jun 6 2015 Entitlements.plist
-rwxr-xr-x@ 1 Paul admin 1194 Jun 6 2015 Info.plist
drwxr-xr-x@ 8 Paul admin 272 Nov 11 23:01 MacOS
drwxr-xr-x@ 52 Paul admin 1768 Oct 15 20:14 Resources
Pauls-iMac:Contents Paul$

Once again in WD I can manually re-create and upload the testtags.php file but its not doing it on its own. It has to be something simple

I’m uploading all the various settings. They all look OK to me (but i’m no expert). If anyone notices anything, please let me know

Hi Main internet switch is off, in first post (Screenshoot) . Last post Advanced Internet Setting the Main Internet Switch is off.
Hope this Helps

BTrip

Thanks… that might have been accidental. I would expect nothing to have worked if main internet was off

However, I put them back. Its always confusing to me which way is on/off

Here is how they are now

Wait…

Now my status are green and testtags is current !!!

Well the one that runs at midnight is still red, but that should catch up tonight

IF it was as simple as this then begs the question of how that switch went off. Trust me I never go into settings let alone change anything. This seemed
to have started Dec 26th @ 12:05 I was around but playing with my new surround sound system and not doing anything with WD

I will keep a CLOSE eye on this…

Many Thanks

It continues to show GREEN status - thanks again Bdtripps.

So while researching this, I noticed that when I first start WD, the time at the bottom is the correct day and month but year is 1999. It eventually goes to 2015.

Has anyone seen this. I can’t seem to upload the video screen shot (its in quicktime .mov format). I can email the full video clip.

However, here are two screen shots taken seconds apart where it goes from 1999 to 2015

Screen Shot 2015-12-31 at 8.32.07 AM.png

Mine starts at 1899 …

8O

OK… I guess I never noticed before. Perhaps this is how it’s always been

No biggie, just asking around

all sing
“lets do the time warp again”
