Hello win…About my previous post…i did some investigating and found…

As a french user,i want my website to be in french and its normal…

In the warning box, when in french language, its appearing with french an english so, i tried to chancge these.

$validWarningTypes[‘statement’] = 0; changed to $validWarningTypes[‘Bulletin’] = 0;

so thas why it wasnt working for the advisory…

If we could hide those words Statement and Haute priority (its appearing in frenchglish hahaha) on the left part.it would be nice…or find a way to fully translate those

thanks

Good morning,

I understand your wishes to havbe 100% of the texts in your type of French language. As I do the same for other users speaking their language.

So a full translation system is built into the template, based on the same language .txt files as used by Saratoga.

The words on your website which are still in my_english or even real English are therefor missing from the language files.

WiKi: en:faq:lang [Leuven-Template 2.8]

In this case, running your warning page with show=missing returns the following missing translations:

<!-- index.php missing langlookup entries for lang=fr
langlookup|Meteo Lac St Jean|Meteo Lac St Jean|
langlookup|Accueil|Accueil|
langlookup|Previsions|Previsions|
langlookup|Previsions Roberval|Previsions Roberval|

Anyone know link for radar image skandinavien (or Sweden) ?

Sven

So the language file is wrongly understood by the translation routines

Could you make a zip of the your complete weather??/wsmetno3/ folder and mail it to wvdkuil (at) gmail.com

Thanks, Wim

fixed

For a Scandinavian radar you can use the yr.no radar which is already present in the template: Add this to your menu file:
I will test this Thanks Merry Christmas

metnolanguage-se.txt.zip (2.04 KB)

I converted the language file to UTF-8. You should use Notepad++ (windows) to modify it in the future. Make sure that the editor understands to read the txt file as UTF-8.
One thing more I learned about how to use UltraEdit in Save as menu Thanks !

Sven

Thanks Wim

Is it possible to have warnings from 2 areas?

Sorry, not at the moment for the EU-warnings. It will take some time to develop that, I will put it on the wish list for now
That would be nice !

Hello from Norway
I’m trying to setup a weathersite for a customer of mine.
http://wj2.mittkontor.no/steel/gauges-ss-basic.htm This is Steelseries and only those. Working just fine. Copied from sandysoft and setup by me
http://wj.mittkontor.no/weather28/ This is Leuven. Looks OK, but temperature does not show any reading. Inside (Norwegian inne) is OK, outside (Norwegian ute) does not show anything. Both of them are looking at the same filefolder in my server (Windowsbox) via a junction

Is there a difference in the 2 Steel series installations? What version is implemented in Leuven 2.8d?

Found the same thing for my other site:
http://vallobat.no/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=71:vallo-vaeret&catid=80:batrelatert&Itemid=279
http://weather.vallobat.no/index.php?p=gaugePage&lang=no#data-area

Common n for all of them are WeatherDisplay on all computers. Weather station is Davis on Vallobat and Oregon Scientific on mittkontor

best regards

Erik S-H, Norway

Good morning Erik,
Please check your status page:
http://wj.mittkontor.no/weather28/index.php?p=statusWeatherSystems&lang=en#data-area
There is no recent upload of the main weather data file: tagsWD.txt
It should be uploaded to the standard weather28/uploadWD/ folder.
http://wj.mittkontor.no/weather28/uploadWD/uploadWD.txt returens a 404 error
That could be a permission problem also, as the scripts has read a file with that name at least once as the contents of the testfile is in the cache.

===
The Steelseries are the same (more or less) the html and php are totally different.

For Leuven the gauges data file is retrieved with http://wj.mittkontor.no/weather28/ws_realtime.php
If you check that link you see the file contents.

{"date":"11:41","temp":"-10.2","tempTL":"12.3","tempTH":"21.2","intemp":"18.4",

The current temps (coming from uploadWD/clientraw.txt ) are correct but the gauges are initialized with far to high minimum temps coming from the obsolete test version of tagsWD.txt file which is in the cache.

If you start uploading the correct file to weather28/uploadWD/ all data will be displayed correctly.

Leuven-Template only uploads 2 data files.

  1. A 5 minute file with all needed weather values C:Wdisplay\webfiles\tags.wd.txt is (should be) translated and uploaded by WD as weather28/uploadWD/tagsWD.txt
  2. A realtime file depending on the weather-program. Of course are for WD the clientraw files used as they are needed for other scripts also.

Hope this clarifies it,

Wim

Worked like a charm, hate it when I dont read manauls first. Only the last one to go, got ftp trouble with WD  Just a matterof time
best regards

Invaded by OBOT 8O

Am i the only one ? apparently not hehehe…

harmful or not ?

thanks

You mean obot accessed your site? Nothing to worry about, just yet another pesky crawler, http://filterdb.iss.net/crawler/ and from IBM even

Ohh im not worried…just wanted to know

I am helping my grandson setup a weather website and thought the Leuven-Template would be something to work with. The weather28/ directory is in a sub directory while testing and I am at an impasse regarding the high and low temperature readings on the homepage. The today values reflect the initial upload this morning and do not update as the day progresses. Yesterday’s is fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just a recap: For Leuven-Template there are two files needed to be uploaded:

  1. The “realtime” values, for WD users the clientraw.txt file is used for that. That file is uploaded correctly at your site with correct contents and frequency
  2. The 5 minute weather-values with all “not so fast” changing values such as historic values and todays max and min values, your problem is with this file

The 5 minute file is

  1. uploaded frequently ==> OK
  2. BUT the contents does not change! ==> PROBLEM

You can check the status of the uploads at: http://noahsweather.com/weather28/index.php?p=statusWeatherSystems

Normal sequence of events as how WD should be instructed:

  1. use as input the file tags.wd.txt, read it from C:\Wdisplay\webfiles\
  2. replace all %tags% inside that file with correct weather-values
  3. give that file a new name tagsWD.txt and store it in the same folder (default C:\Wdisplay\webfiles)
  4. and upload that converted file.

Somewhere there is an error, most likely that WD is getting fed an already processed file.

  1. You should check the contents of C:\Wdisplay\webfiles\tags.wd.txt if it contains %tagname% fields on nearly every line. If not replace that file with a new version from the webserver weather28/scriptsWD/tags.wd.txt
  2. If the input for WD is correct you should check the instructions for WD. Sometimes the input and output name are set the same (tagsWD.txt)

Please let me know how you proceed. Be aware of the time-difference with CET in my home town Leuven.

Wim

Wim,

That cleared things up. I must taken the tags.wd.txt from the computer I was testing on.

Thanks for a great program.
