Question about %avgspd% average wind speed (current)

%avgspd% = average wind speed (current)

‘Average’ implies there is a measurement time window. What is that time window? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? An hour?
Or is this something I can set myself? (If that is the case, the question is: where?)

often its a rolling average
if you weather station provides an average windspeed, then its that value
if it does not then WD calculates an average (rolling average, based on previous 60 readings (ie a 1 minute average)
what weather station type?

It’s a Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus.

then WD calculates it…as a 1 minute rolling average
(the same value that you see on the WD main screen)
there are other custom tags for average speed (i.e 10 minute average…etc)
