but I could create a new set of tags that does not do that

I have been trying to update to the latest version 10.37R Build 290. I am running 10.37R build 80, When I download and run b290 it looks like it updates and shows it is running in taxk mgr but doesn’t show up on the screen. I can clean out the directory and run the update and it works but I don’t have any of my old data and it is not registered. Right now I am back to build 80.

that sounds like some error with your wdisplay.ini settings file
(as a test, try backing that up, then delete that)
I tried again and installed B290. After the install program was done I clicked finish button and wd started. The control screen never showed on the screen. The little box came on and collected any missing info. It shows weatheddislpay.exe *32 running in the task mgr. Also the program is uploading to my web site every 5 min. as scheduled. The console just does not appear on the screen.
As a side problem, I still have rain totals for Sep.

I found the problem. It was in the hidden box, I have it on screen now. %rainsepnow% doesn’t seem to to be in the tag list. I tried typing it in and it just showed me %rainsepnow0%",

customscreen4.gif and customscreen5.gif. I sent a email with a copy of each as I programmed them and how the program sent them.
I use custom screens OK myself with the latest version
(including customscreen5.gif)
and they get updated OK
do you see any error under view, program event log?
