iOS9 iWD will not run

I am entering my website address where I have my wdlive site setup. I am trying it mobile on my phone.

I am wondering if I have the permissions correct for HTTP over mobile
try and see if it works over WIFI connection?

Doesn’t work on my wifi or on cell service.

I have found that apple introduced a new HTTP security feature, called Application Transport Security
and so I now have that fixed…will get a new version (17) uploaded for review by the app store, today

new verson should be ready to be updated to over the next few hours

also I have found a way to get it be compatible down to iOS7
and will test that and then get another update out

I presume no news is good news?

Sorry, I still can’t get it to work on my iPhone or iPad. Doesn’t work on my internal wifi or on my AT&T mobile.

To give more information, in the setup where it asks for the url, I have tried the following.

website.com
www.website.com
www.website.com/clientraw.txt
www.website.com/httpdocs
www.website.com/httpdocs/clientraw.txt

I FTP the file to ftp.website.com/httpdocs

I can’t think of any other combination to try.

you need to enter a full URL
i,e
http://www.

That got me working! I had tried the http:// before but I guess I hadn’t tried that since you updated the app.

Thanks for getting it working.

the next update will have multi language support

new WDliveapp version available now has multi language support (some more to come on that for the next update)

Might be a good idea to start a new thread since the title of this one is no longer true

the title is still true for me. I have an iPhone 4S with IOS 9.1. I installed WDliveapp today and when I run it, it just displays the start screen (clouds and lightning bolts) for 12 secs then closes. If I double-click the home button, the app is still active, but if I select it again, the same happens - displays the clouds and lightning bolts for 12 seconds then closes.

iOS is probably closing it because it has taken too long to start up
have you tried un installing it?

what I could do is port the windows phone app I have developed to iOS

I just deleted it and re-downloaded it - same result

Ian

has any of the versions worked for you?

iWD never worked (does the same, but is only on the screen for 2 seconds), so today I thought I’d try the WDliveapp after looking at this topic on the forum (so, no - this is the first time I’ve tried it)

Ian

this particular problem does not seem to be a widespread problem though?
in any case I will see about porting as per my post above

I have created a new version for iOS (simpler, loads very fast, compiled with a different compiler)
its in review…hopefully passes that soon
