Got an Android phone.. do this today.. 'Stagefright' vulnerability

If you have an Android phone, read this and turn off your MMS auto-download. A malicious MMS message can lead to full takeover of your phone without you doing anything. Quite scary!

I actually got a text message the other day saying I needed to update my MMS settings and the txt actually had a Install button attached to it. Delete

Thanks for the info. MMS auto-download is now turned off. Also, I have the free versions of SnoopWall and McAfee Security installed for good measure. At the time, I didn’t think that Androids were susceptible to security problems and installed them anyway. I was quite surprised to see that they are. Are there better security apps for the Android?

I run “Lookout” for my Android.
