Meteotemplate - new free website template

Hi,
yes I did see your comment in the Blog, as far as I remember they use a different data source, the plugin was created earlier, so it could be that its only included in one, otherwise Im sure I wouldnt omit it

Here is the data source, eg:

http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDZ00054.warnings_nsw.xml

Hi Jachym,
Sorry late response (been waiting for an example to arise).
1: Severe Weather Alerts : only happen now and then, so had to wait till one arose.
2: As this example was in WA(Western Australia) and I could not find a Meteotemplate user site in WA, I had to adjust my Block settings from ‘tas’ to ‘wa’.
3: Image (AWW0) : displays block showing WA Severe Weather Warnings:
4: Image (AWW1) : displays block popup showing Selected WA Severe Weather Warning:
5: Image (AWW2) : displays plugin showing no info when drop down bar selected for any WA Severe Weather Warnings: (On my Site).
6: Image (AWW3) : displays plugin showing no info when drop down bar selected for any WA Severe Weather Warnings: (On another users Site).
7: I think the issue is with the links as they differ in the path : http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDZ00060.warnings_wa.xml It happens for all states (not just WA).

Severe Weather Warnings are (Path) : .eg : http://www.bom.gov.au/products/
Normal Warnings are (Path) : .eg: http://www.bom.gov.au/wa/warnings/

I have not had time to look at the difference in the Block (vs) Plugin Code, though envisage they must be different, when time permits over the next month I will investigate and let you know my findings along with possible code fix - if I do get to fix it.

Kind regards,
Tony

Meteotemplate 16.0 Physalis

Hi guys,

a new version of Meteotemplate is now available. Over the past few versions I got rid of all changes directly in code and converted everything to GUI. With this version (apart from other new things) I also got rid of most FTP, unzipping etc. Just click and everything is installed/updated directly from my website to your template.

more info: http://meteotemplate.com/blog/?p=3374

enjoy

Sounds very cool

I had to look up Physalis so you get an extra point for that too  My granny used to grow a variety of those, we called them Chinese Lanterns but I never knew the correct name.

Great work again Jachym, worked for me !

Hi guys,

just a bulk summary of Sep/Oct updates:

[b][color=red]New Language - Russian
Block Update

Oke help me out it’s driving me nuts

www.weersverwachtingen.eu/clientraw.txt

att:

setup data fields
show field numbers line:
date line 74
time line 32

test import keeps saying
-There seems to be a problem with the date and time. Either it has not been parsed correctly or it is a date/time in the future! Check the format you specified and also the actual values.-

What ever I do no differ #-o

Thnx in advance

Hi Ed,
I explained to you in 3 emails that you CANNOT use clientraw for data import! Clientraw has current conditions, not data import! Please read my emails too. You need monthly logs.

Clientraw WILL NOT work for data import. It is waste of your time trying it.

Hi

Must be something wrong with the emails
did not recieve any reply.

Even not at spam ! will investigate !

thnx so for

OK, sorry then, I sent you several emails replying to yours that clientraw cannot be used for this, you need monthly log files

ok will sent you a pm with a better email adress

thanks for reply Jachym !

monthly log :

got it with 102017lg.txt

thnx !

Deleted - duplicate post

just replied to your other thread

Hi Brian,
Im really sorry about the time you wasted with the homeweather station template. I have the same experience. It did not surprise me at all and I sort of knew this is going to happen sooner or later. I would not be surprised if he asked you to implement it again in a few weeks because he loves comebacks.

Im posting it here because he also loves deleting threads only to create new ones with the same name.

I really appreciate all you do for not just Meteotemplate but all WD users and the time you spend helping people! Dont be discouraged by a few idiots that dont understand this.

As a developer and as someone who co-operates with Brian H. I can say that he has always been extremely helpful, always kept his promises and I never had a single problem with working with him. So obviously the problem is in someone else… (and you are not the only one who had problems… by far)

Just setting up using this template. Does anyone know what units Weather Display uses for the data that is sent via the API? Also, is there a Weather Flow option for a station?

the units are metric for the API (that is fixed)
but with the template you can set the default units showing (e.g Non metric)

I am struggling with the pollution bit. It looks like it gets the values from the WD api, which gets it from the purple air thingy.

How can I show pollution in meteotemplate?
Which block do I use.

Second issue.
I use steel gauges in the Meteotemplate, they do not update… not sure why. First time they do, but when I get back to the site they do not… does anybody has any experience with that?

Third issue.
UV, the uv does not update, the value is in the file send from WD and the DB is updated but for some reason the UV is not updated on the site.

Thanks
Henk

Hi guys,

new version of Meteotemplate includes several tweaks and for example a brand new mobile homepage, which uses Bootstrap and is ideal for any device type
