This is the data source:
http://www.hnms.gr/hnms/greek/navigation/forecastseas_popup_html

This link is ok! It looks all Greek to me!  :wink:

There's probably something that has to do with the codepage! The browser translates the Greek alphabet characters to Cyrillic.
The codepage of the HNMS page is Greek ISO.

New Block – Australia – Climate

Hi guys,

first you select the city you want to use, then the block will show detailed information in a form of graphs about monthly average min/max temperature, absolute min/max temperature, daily precipitation, max daily precipitation, wind gust, wind run, sunshine, solar exposure, evaporation etc.

DEMO: http://www.meteotemplate.com/template/indexBlockDemoWide.php?block=climateAU

Enjoy

Right, you 'coders', I need help. Can you be that person?

I'm doing a dead simple page for MT. I am still learning PHP so be kind, please.

This bit of code results in the image below, but what's wrong with it? I've been to W3Schools, Stackoverflow and lots of other sites. Maybe age is catching up with me as I'm certainly missing something. It seems to my 'include' attempt.

Code: [Select]
<?php

############################################################################
Meteotemplate
http://www.meteotemplate.com
Free website template for weather enthusiasts
Author: Jachym
#           Brno, Czech Republic

# Blank Page
#
Template for blank page
#
############################################################################
include("../config.php");
include($baseURL."css/design.php");
include($baseURL."header.php");
?>

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
 <?php error_reporting(E_ALL);?>
<head>
<title><?php echo $pageName?></title>
<?php metaHeader()?>
<style>

</style>
</head>
<body>
<div id="main_top">
<?php bodyHeader();?>
<?php include($baseURL."menu.php")?>
</div>
<div id="main">
<div class="textDiv">
<h3><center>Daily 10-minute Log</center></h3>
<center>The log begins at 0910 one day and ends at 0900 the next.<br>The new day's report replaces the previous day's when the 0910 report is transferred to the site.<br>It does not refresh automatically, you will need to use your browser for that.</center>
<br></div>

</div>
                <center><?php include("http://www.blaxlandweather.com/dailylogout.html")?></center>
<?php include($baseURL."footer.php")?>
</body>
</html>

I've been researching and improvising for hours and am now stuck. Any help will be most gratefully accepted.

Hi,
including a page like this really is not the best idea. It would be probably much better to paste the code directly. And also you have not shown us the code of that page and remember that when you include a page like this, the code is executed directly in the page, so most likely there is some clash with some other part of that script - which we cannot tell either because I only see the include.

Thanks, Jáchym. I didn't want to bother you.

This is an HTML file generated by Weather Display at ten-minute intervals, which is why I thought the 'include' would be the way to go. It resides in the site's root directory, above the template (i.e. public_html). Don't let the times shown confuse the issue - a meteorological day here is from 09:00 to 09:00.

The two code blocks below are the top and bottom of the generated file, the section between is just the pre-formatted data for each time interval.

Apart from the pre-format tag it's common garden variety code.

My apologies for not responding yesterday; other duties got in the way.

Code: [Select]

Hi,
ok, well the thing is, the blocks are loaded from within the homepage, so there should be no HTML, HEAD, BODY etc. tags beause those are at the top of the homepage script and should always be included just once on every page, I think thats most likely the problem

Ah!  #-o  Thanks for your expertise, Jáchym.

That ends the 'project' then, as I have no control over the HTML file's content.

Your patience is much appreciated.

Well.... I know about two solutions... one, which would probably be relatively easy and most people would immediately opt for it, but I myself consider it a very bad practice and something that totally ruins the overall design of the template and should be avoided for all different reasons. Second - creating a script for whatever you are trying to achieve - so if you tell me what exactly that page showed, Im sure it would be possible to recreate using the db

No doubt, Jáchym, I've done this the 'wrong' way. It works, though. Sorry to be late - again - but I've been knocking up a spreadsheet.  :oops:

OK, wouldnt the interactive table page do the same thing? You can also choose a custom interval if you want the day to begin at 9AM

Great work!
I have the sea temperature working :)
I do see a minor spelling mistake for the URL to go to the sea temperature web site in the setup instructions ;)
