Successfully upgraded to 8.0!
This one actually took some time and work.
A few things, the setup script detects that I do not have write access to config.php when it does (I verified permissions and was able to update the config no problem via the GUI).

The GUI for the homepage layout adds blank lines when selecting Multi-Blocks or Menu Blocks (I was using Firefox) which seems to cause issues on the page when testing. Also, if you have a blank line at the end it will create a blank unloadable block. (Like if you hit enter after adding your last block)

I think it would be nice since you already list the installed/available blocks above the GUI on the page if you could make it so you can click Add block, Add Multi block or Add Menu block and it would give a drop down list of available Blocks to select. This way some of the above issues cannot happen and it would avoid typos and entering bad data.

yes I was thinking about making it so that you simply click the block namespace in the list and it would insert it, but then I realized this is not possible to do since you never know to which column the user wants to insert the block
