Also, the wind speed dial keeps appearing and disappearing.

do you mean on the main screen?
ideally these install/start up issues you are having should be in a separate thread?

I suggest your particular issue is a windows problem
(try a windows restart even)

still working OK here re this particular problem 18 hours later 
The disabling didn’t seem to help, but the error occurred at 008hrs with the below error:
Access violation at address 7FCF3B00. Read of address 7FCF3B00
Above error or program log occured at :0:08 06/19/15
I’m out of town for the weekend so I’ll let it run until Sunday.

but has that error affected the ability to open setup menu’s under control panel
(after 35 hours running, I can still do that,here)
I’m guessing it was because that was the first error I received on many. I didn’t check it until about 5am and they were locked and my month report didnot update. We’ll see what happens tonight.

are you using build 277?
(that is the latest)
also you can view the programerrorlog.txt, where WD is installed, instead of within WD, and even delete the contents of that file to start it over
I loaded 277 at 1:41pm and received an error at 5:24pm with unresponsive icons.

so try that update 
I just installed 278 at 0546 this morning, we’ll see how it goes.

Ran 278 as full install and got the frozen icons within about 5 mins. Attached error log is the relevant info from the programerrorlog.txt

I have been follolwing this with interest as I am running build 263 and it is running fine on my system so I don’t know if any others want to try build 263 if I can upload it somewhere (not my host if I can help it) and then it can be confirmed that something that changed from build 263 to 264 onwards to cause problems?

Thanks for the really kind offer, but I have been having the issue ever since moving the the new version of weather display. Brian has been ever so kindly trying to sort the problem out for about a year now to no avail…

Unfortunately 278 only went about 6 hours before errors, 0545 - 1130.
