Getting HobbyBoards to work with WD

Hi,

I’ve not used 1 wire HobbyBoards before so need some help setting it up to work with Weather Display, I have a USB adapter (DS9490R-P) plugged into a 8 Channel I/O board (8CIO8-R1-A), the OneWireViewer has picked this up and shows the Name: DS2408 and a long device address, going into the ‘Switch’ tab on the viewer, I can toggle the relays on and off, so that bits seems ok.

In Weather Display (Ver 10.37R265) I selected Control Panel >>Dallas 1 Wire>>12 Volt Switch, clicking on ‘Search for switches’ brings nothing up and I’m not sure how to get WD to recognize the 8 channel I/O board and then how it would ne configured to operate an on board relay when a wind threshold has been reached, so I’m a bit stuck!

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Ian

you will need to do that setup in build 81
as I had lost the code to search and setup the 1 wire switch
(I would need to re write the code)

Hi Brian,

I get the same response on the Build 81 as Build 265, in that it is not picking up any ROM ID’s, should it automatically display the ROM once I click on the search button, or is their a step I’m missing.

EDIT- Started new thread here in a more appropriate part of the forum - http://discourse.weather-watch.com

try using the dallas1wirereader.exe
and see if that shows them up…i.e get that working first with your 1 wire adaptor
(i.e get the correct connection type setup there)
