Busy time…I have an important regulatory visit at work next week so this all came at a bad time!
Anway, things are slowly coming back online. I think most of WML should be working. The data downloads seem to check out so hopefully you’re getting data into your clients now.
I’m working on the GFS data now. Missing Perl modules are the first problem, but I also have some re-compilation to do as well. Hopefully that will be back online tomorrow, if not tonight.
I just checked bot WML and Chris’ WXSim GFS/Advection data and it all seems back ON now. Hopefully this will continue now and Chris has everything sorted - looking hopeful. Sterling work Chris and much appreciated.
Well strangely it has stopped working again. I get invalid serial number followed by Error contacting server. Dont know when it stopped as I dont use it a large amount.
maybe there is something else going on…
maybe the pc is running too hot…or the disk controller has a fault…
3 raid disks in a couple of weeks is not right…
one thing that is working better re the forum is the list of unread posts is not loosing posts for me like it has done at times before
Hi Chris
not sure if this is related to your problems or not
when I went to attach a file and click preview nothing happened usually it adds to a list of attachments and clears the browse box using IE11 I had to post it then modify it to add a second or is it related to windows 8.1 which I have on this laptop
For the last week or so in the late evening I can fire up WML and see my map with 4 of the 44 stations that I have set up to appear. All are WD stations. Then when I check the next morning and afternoon, I am always back to just seeing the “Incorrect Serial Number” error message.
After logging into the WML Management site I did see an encouraging sign last night. Previously, it only showed me as having a free account. Now I see my paid account and I can get into the detailed set up area where my map is correctly set up as I previously had it when the service was fully functional. This correctly shows all 44 area weather stations on my map even though the actual display only shows four of them.
