Help needed..total Noobe Linux user cant get WD to work

Hi…I am trying to get WD to run under Ubuntu as a guest OS using VirtualBox (Windows 7 Ultimate is the host OS). I am hoping to get WD up and running using a RasberryPi or some other plug computer, but first I wanted to familiarize myself with Linux. I have followed the instructions I can find as far as checking the serial port and the like, but when I run the “./GoWeather.sh” command, the initial WD window starts up, then freezes saying “Loading Extra Sensors Graph…”, then turns gray. On the terminal window I get the following cryptic (for me, at least) message;

“[HINT] TWinControl.CreateWnd creating Handle during loading MainForm:TMainForm csDesigning=False
Form resource TFormtimer1 not found. For resourceless forms CreateNew constructor must be used. See the global variable RequireDerivedFormResource.”

I didn’t find this much of a “hint” LOL

I have my station which is a Peet Bros 2100 up and running fine under Windows using Virtual Weather Station.

any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve N2QLQ
