Steel Gauges with Raspberry Pi?

Hi guys

Can the Raspberry Pi version create the customclientraw.txt needed for Steel Gauges please as I’m hoping to put this in for new clients?

yes it can
set that in the config.txt
and have the customclientrawlocal.txt in place as well

I got Steelseries Gauges running on my Pi. Everything is working fine except the wind rose and the rain rate gauge.

Customclientraw.txt fields are empty for these parameters:

“rfall”:“5.3”,“rrate”:“0.0”,“rrateTM”:“0.0”
“WindRoseData”:[0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0]

Did I miss something in the settings?

I am not sure if I added those to the raspberry pi version of consolewd
are you using the latest version of that?
(i.e which version are you using?)

I am using the one from February.

Information from clientraw.txt is: CWD_console_12.0

you should be using the latest version for starters :wink:

I updated to what I guess would be the latest version.

clientraw.txt says:
CWD_console_12.3

… but still customclientraw.txt is:

“WindRoseData”:[0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0],“windrun”:“0.00” (same for rain data)

I will check up to see if I have that code added correctly, as spare time permits

the code is there…in checking…and its the same code as the windows version
it should be providing results other than zero
does anyone else have this working correct?

I’ve done nothing more than make it work at this stage, maybe one day I’ll learn how to modify it to look a bit nicer.

I’m using a WS1080 connected via USB to my Raspberry Pi. Although, in the post today has arrived my new WS3083 with UV and solar, so hopefully I will be getting that up and running over the next few days.

I still have the problem that windrose data is not generated by consolewd. I am using the Weather station type=34 input (universal). The datain38.ini input (0 0.00 5.4 82 953 249.275 160 0.0 24.6 43 211)

As one can see the WindRoseData keeps being empty. Is there some setting I have missed?

what hardware version? (1 2 or 3?)

ConsoleWD is running on a Synology DS216+II which has a X86_64 bit chip.
