Revision

Can we go to 10.37S do you think?

We have been on 10.37R for years now.

Or version 11 maybe?

I believe that the revision number changes only when there is a major revision, or a major change in that version.
All the things that have been happening are tweaks and minor adjustments.

I never worry about those things, and I have been a user for a lot more years and posts than I want to think about. I just look at the date of the revision. If it changes, then I make the change a day later.

When you have been around here enough, you get the hang of things.

I am not putting down your question and I encourage people to ask questions,

Hi
does it really matter though in the scheme of things?

its the build number that is important at the moment

Only a couple of things matter. A good cup of coffee and the promise that next week it is going to be warmer in Iowa.

I remember long ago having to do mandatory software updates on my customers’ equipment. One time I had just finished an update to to 12.2.9.8 and a month later was issued a mandatory update to 12.8.9.8b. I called an engineer and asked what the difference between the versions was…he said…they had found a misspelled word in one of the foreign language tables. Not a bug in the routines but a misspelled word in a different language. I waited until version 13 came out before I did any more updates.

I do add to the history.txt file what the major changes are
(see the link to that on the WD web page)
most of the updates are directly from threads on the forum
