When is a new option to use the WD with data taken from the WeatherLink web pages ??

For example to get data from this page: http://www.weatherlink.com/user/sergly/index.php?view=summary&headers=1&type=1

I am not sure if Davis would allow data scraping of their web servers

if you can get the OK, then I can add this

but why not get WD to get the data directly from the IP data logger ? (and set to release that, so WL.com is still updated)

Hi Brian, for the same reason for which WD use to get the data from metar or from clientraw.txt file…

i had see that you added the weatherlink.com option to retreive data from WL.com page with DID KEY User and PASS.

It’s a great option for me… :smiley:

With the latest WD version the program do not retreive correctly min and max temp of the day and rainfall… It’s my problem?

WD will have its own min/max, from live data,as it gets that data
I had not made it where it would use the max/min from weatherlink.com

I was not aware there was a problem with the rain…as rain is recorded on wlink.com and WD is running, then WD should increase its rain totals

I leave wd running up to 48 hours but the rain total
Not update…

today the rain is 0.6 mm

in the weatherlinkdata.txt i have <rain_day_in>0.0236</rain_day_in>

but in WD main screen is 0.0 mm or if i change unit in inches 0.000 in.

WD non t work with the rain :frowning:

I was out of office today, helping shift my daughter to housing for her university new year
Was WD running when the rain increase occured?

I will do some testing here, by manually adjusting the rain total value in the weatherlinkdata.txt file

OK, there was a bug with the rain data #-o 8O
I have fixed it
use the latest .zip update of WD
and the next rain increase, WD will now increase its rain total too
