Set-up New computer moved WD from one HD to other now tweeter does not update

Hi,

Had a computer failure. Got new computer and install old HD. Moved WD from old HD to new HD and did a new install of WD per forum instructions. Everything working fine exception Tweeter is not updating. The on button is in the on position. Have MS Net 4.0 installed. Running windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Any suggestions on how to get this fixed.

try deleting the twitteroauth.txt files (there are 2 of them)
so that then you re setup for twitter
also make sure its .NET 4.0 extended (or is it client)

Erased both files but no sucess. Microsift. Net Framework 4 Client Profile.

could you provide more information other than no success?
i.e what happens when you click on test or run the wdtwitter direct

Sure. When I click on the 'Test a data send' button nothing appears to happen. In the past I would see on occasion the twitter pop-up window quickly flash but not now. I then click on 'View your data' which takes me to my twitter page. Last entry is from right before my older computer failed on 8-7-12. I had not checked twitter until last night when I started following the local NWS forecast office.

what happens when you click on the actual wdtwitter.exe program

are you sure you have deleted both oauthtwitter text files?

I would suggest that the problem is that .NET is not in fact installed as needed correctly
(you might even have to reboot)

Sorry to get back to you so late. The weather has turned nice here so it was pleasent to work in the yard and get some dreaded weeding done.

Yes both files erased. As you suspected it was .Net. I went to MS website downloaded and installed MS.net and updates. The tweets have resumed.
