Laptop Spec for webcam
« on: July 04, 2012, 04:38:05 AM »
Hi,

I am thinking about getting an IP web cam (possibly a Panasonic cam).

I am concerned that my laptop might be below spec for it. I have a Toshiba P300-1FN with the following specs:

Processor: Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor P8600
clock speed : 2.40 GHz
front side bus : 1066 MHz
2nd level cache : 3 MB

RAM: 4.00 GB
technology : DDR2 RAM (800 MHz)

Hard disk    capacity : 640 (320 + 320) GB
certification : S.M.A.R.T.
drive rotation : 5,400 rpm

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

The issue is that the camera I am looking at states the minimum processor required is the same as I have (Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor 2.40 GHz).

I run Weather Display and WXSIM on the laptop.

Does this mean that my laptop will not be able to cope with this camera and its software due to WD and WXSIM running at the same time?
