Yesterday's FWI tags
« on: April 30, 2012, 01:37:50 PM »
Would it be possible to create tags for the following: Yesterday's FFMC,  BUI, ISI, DMC, DC & FWI
Very much appreciated if you can.

If you want to have the history of the FWI values you could try FWI calculator.

It really is not a history I am after at this time, though I will have a good look at the link you have provided, it does look interesting, thanks.  My reasons for the %tags% are two-fold, of course one is so I can show the values for yesterday, the second reason is so I can make a little function to indicate a trend, i.e. UP, DOWN and STEADY on my web page.

With this early onset of spring/summer we are having there has already been one 'burn ban' in our township. The local Fire Chief looked at and is very much interested in adding my web data to his 'toolbox' of sources. Needless-to-say I wish to get everything finalized before summers gets here in full force.

its possible I could add those tags to WD
you can see the trend though with the graph data that WD updates
e.g

Yes, I have looked at and played with the fwi.htm file WD creates and have honestly tried using it. The WD 1/2 pie pointer chart is a wee different than what we use here, we don't use the catastrophic section as shown with the pie chart on my web site:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/reid.reid/wxlinks/fwi.html

Also the input numbers to set the fwi WD pie chart seem wrong to me, for example #50 would be 'extreme' for us on the FWI scale, not 'high'. (there maybe an input bug there too, not sure, but I could not input numbers beyond 50)

Mainly I wish to make a function to show INCREASE or DECREASE or up or down or something like that, hence my request.

Thank you - thank you - thank you
Been away all day, so did not get a chance to test until 9pm local.
All the tags reported the proper values here.
Thanks again.
