ok.. next project.   I needed to get a camera for the backyard so we can spy on Louie and Carmella (our cockers) when they are out back.   I had a working security camera but for some reason it is out .. Also I dropped the service contract.. not good.

Anyway,  I got an IP camera and I am playing with it.  It is a D-Link 932L.  it is wireless and what it does is send a image or images via wireless to the D-linksite and I can see from there what is happening.

I have the IP address on my router and of course this doesn't save a file on my computer.  I "think" I can put an image file on my website, but if there were a better way to use the Wdisplay web cam program with an IP address, I could bypass that.

Oh  the camera has an IR unit for night vision, but what I am finding is the reflection from the inside glass makes it not a good investment right now.

Somewhere I read someone had asked and got a way to use the IP address to capture the images.

aardvark:
made progress, the IP will send a picture to my website.

But where is the setup for the camera to snag it from the website or from my IP address.  Still can find the sucker.

Budgie:
I think it's in the wecamcapture program, under the IP Cam tab heading.
Working at the moment so it's only a guess.

aardvark:
I can get an image downloaded to my PC.  I am in the process trying to get the movie to work.. there are so many tabs and they certainly all not used.  I assume one of them assembles all of the picture captures.

Then to load it back to the site.   I may figure this out before then next full moon, but I am a little less confident and exhuberant than I was 4 hours ago .
