Wind Gust Max missed by WD?
« on: June 08, 2012, 03:08:06 PM »
We just had a strong gust of wind outside - I glanced at the VP Pro2 console and saw it record a 47 km/h gust.

However, I note that WD is still reporting a gust of 43 km/h in the early hours of this morning as being the max gust for today, so it appears to have missed the actual max wind gust for today?

How could this happen?

at what time did that max gust occur?

just before 5pm; we subsequently had a 51 km/h about an hour later which WD caught, so no problem, but I'm still surprised it didn't appear to record the earlier max gust

you cant get all the LOOP data, due to the nature of how that works
but WD does check the max daiy gust on the console every so often, and will use that, if that is higher
so it might have caught up on that after a while anyway
