WU cloud conditions stuck on CLR

I just noticed WU cloud conditions report CLR during daytime hours despite WD reporting the correct condition.

Nighttime WU cloud reporting seems to work correctly.

Weather Display:
do you have the switch set on under control panel, solar setup?
and if so, do you have the solar % working correct?
and do you have  solar sensor, what weather station type, etc?

oh sorry forgot the details.

win 7 x64
Davis VP2 +

solar setup is working correctly.
WD is updating icon and solar conditions correctly.

Weather Display:
do you have a metar set to be used for updating wunderground data?
do you see other than sunny for solar description?

no metar data used.

during nighttime, WU and WD reports the correct cloud conditions via nighttime cloud sensor.

during daylight hours, WU reports CLR all the time. WD reports correct solar conditions.
