Autopost to Facebook
« on: March 22, 2012, 08:47:59 PM »
Hi, in WD is possible to have an application to automatically post to Facebook?
Similar to that used for Twitter.

Hi Alberto

If you feed to Twitter using WD then take a look at the following guide to sending up to FB. This should help.

Kind regards

Thanks Andy, I already use this application to post tweets hourly but not updated regularly on FB.
I was thinking of something more direct.

You can get a "secret" email address from Facebook. FB will send you the address and WD can then upload via "weather report e-mail". I use it here http://www.facebook.com/branford.weather

What exactly are you wanting to do ??   My Twitter account automatically updates Facebook with every Tweet my station sends?

Hello Steve.
For every tweet sent from WD (per hour) should automatically post to FB but during the 24 hours does not always work.
Some hours are omitted for example from 06:00 until 19:00 and then take up the post.

For Jack, thanks for the information but I have not been able to address the "secret" of FB. Could you explain how?

thanks guys
Alberto

I use a script here on this site to run my tweets from Ken it sends conditions every hour and I also send my forecast every 3 hours and I never miss a beat on either Facebook or Twitter...The script sends to Twitter and Twitter sends to Facebook!!  Real Simple!!
See this thread from Ken....I had the same issue using WD for some reason..!

make sure to include a time stamp in the WD tweets, so that all tweets are unique
and make sure the WD tweets dont end up being too long (especialy if you use conditions tags)
re problems with tweets not always getting through
