I just got a reply from them and will be looking at the script for needed changes.  Anyway, here's what they wrote and how I just responded.  I'll let you know when I hear back.

Thank you for your reply.  I will review the script for sure, I didn't think an invalid date could be selected but I'll double check.

I wonder if bots are causing the bad requests because we've noticed them repeatedly hitting this and similar scripts.  We are currently discussing robots.txt and .htaccess on our weather forum to cure this type of issue.

There are several others using this script that have been blocked, and remain blocked.  Is there something you can do for all of them or do they need to contact you individually.

Thanks for your help.

- Jim

Hi

So i will wait until you come back with a reply from them before to contact them.

Like i told you before, if this situation is caused by the robots, well the modifications to the .htaccess file is working great ant i did not have any robots on my website now.

Have a great day and again thank you for your intervention.

I have just uploaded an update of the script that precludes bots or anybody else from selecting a date in the future because that was causing problems for Wunderground.  Please update and you can get it from http://jcweather.us/scripts.php.

Thanks.  - Jim

Added:  And here's an answer already from WU.

Jim,
I just updated. I was back on version 2.1. I noticed that I never changed from your station ID and TZ, etc in //settings.
Using in Ken's templates, it has been showing my station data KPAMECHA7?

thanks for effort.

Unlike the WU-forecast that others are having issue with too, This script doesnt generate a IP number that shows its being blocked. So when we email WU, how are they going to know what IP to unblock? Thanks

If you use whosonline you could see your public ip address there, or you could use something like http://www.whatsmyip.org/ to see it.

Mark,

I just got a PM from Niko and it would be your server ip that you need rather than your home ip.  I just double checked that by looking mine up at e-rice and it matched the error message that I got when I was blocked.

Sorry, and thanks Niko for the "nudge".
