customtextout.txt Issue

I have been using this customtextout.txt since last summer with out any issues. Sometime in December it stopped displaying the %VPsolar% data. I haven't changed anything except upgrading WD to the new versions. (currently b08) See attached files.

just tested here
works no problems in a new WD setup with my Davis VP (with solar)
2012-01-31 17:03|72.2°F|-148.0|336

the 336 is my solar reading

I was afraid you were going to say that.  :)
Well I spent about 2 hours messing with it. I'd start out with the solar reading and keep adding to it and all would be well except the output was on 2 lines instead of one. When I would edit it to take up only one line, the solar reading would stop.  #-o  Oops... It looks like it is finally working. Don't know what was done differently, but it is working.  :)

make sure to edit using notepad.exe

Yep.. That is what was used. You think win7 notepad is any different?

it just sounds like you are introducing hidden control characters (i.e carriage return) or similar
