Don't you need to use 127.0.0.1 in VWS setup?
Ed,

I have only one thing to say...    #-o  Great catch!!!    I changed the transposed digits to the correct address and it worked immediately!!!

Many thanks and regards,

Dan.

Yea, I was thinking it was the local host address it needed. I use a serial connection so I haven't tried that part.
Steve,

Hmmm...  I'm confused.   I thought you needed to use the TCP/IP connection when using VVP.

With Cumulus and VWS running, now if I can get WD running, I'll have all three to compare.

Regards,

Dan.

I use VVP also, works really well :)
Also on the questions about looks of WD,
it can be customized anyway you want, This is my WD main screen:

Just enable the customization options in the advanced preferences and you can move stuff off/add stuff in etc....

Tim,

Thanks for the feedback.   I've gotten the impression that WD is a good program that is very flexible.   Unfortunately...

Before I can buy it, I need to 1) get it working and 2) be able able to reset the font size for the front page graphs to a usable size.   The first is critical and the second is important.   I had it working for a few minutes and then it stopped displaying some data elements.  Any ideas on how to solve these problems?

Thanks,

Dan.

Well, partial good news...   After completely reinstalling, WD now works.   I still don't know what happened though.  Now about those graph fonts...

Attached is a full screen shot of what I see on my monitor.    As you can see, the text labels are fine but the graph fonts are tiny.  How can the graph fonts be reset?

Thanks,

Dan.

p.s. The colors are fine.   I had to reduce the pixel density to reduce the file size stay within the forum limits.

the graph fonts are small by default to allow multi line (ie indoor temp, indoor hum)
you can set them via control pabel, colour setup, graph color/font, graph values font, set the font/size

Brian,

Thanks for the help.

I tried this. Unless I'm misunderstanding, this set the labels at the top of the graphs. It does not set the y-axis label fonts in the graphs.

Also, increasing the font size at the graph cuts off part of the text. Tomorrow I'll post a pic of what I'm seeing.

To be clear on one point...  While I'm not happy with the font size, I LIKE the graphs!  Is there a way of temporarily zooming the graphs to say 200%?

Dan.

you can zoom in by clicking and making box in the graph

I can add ability to set the axis font size (and font type)

done that now
the graph scale font size is now linked to the graph data font size
latest .zip update

note also that you can completly customisize the main screen
i.e move things around, resize things, etc
(via setup, advanced/misc, main program)

Brian,

Thanks for the quick response.   First, since I now intend to use WD for my weather website, I just purchased Weather Display.

I'm still have some questions and am still seeing some issues.   I'll post a new thread with a better subject that addresses.

Thanks,

Dan.

Hi. I'd love too.  With my current workload, it could be several weeks though.  :(

Steve,

Thanks. It's nice to know that other folks around here are interested in weather.   But, given our wide variety of micro-climates its a bit surprising that more folks in the Seattle area aren't interested in building a weather station.

Best regards,

Dan.

Yes and that being noted take the CWOP info with a grain of salt they rate you on nearby stations and as we know our weather can vary sometimes
greatly by just a mile away!!!  :)
