Brian
I guess I caused the issue. Normally when adding new tags, I shut down WD. This time I just dropped the new testtags.txt in (duh). Soo long story short, shut down WD, deleted old testags.txt. Put new in. Upgrade from WD ver 87 to 88 while I was at it. Rebooted pc, and voila:

$firstsnowseason = '10/29/2011';
$firstsnowseasonav = '23 of November';

Thanks
Ed

OK six weeks later, I seem to have 2 contradictory values?

$firstsnowseason = '0/0/2012';
And
$snowseasonin = '4.800';   // Snow for season you have entered under input daily weather, inches

Snow season here is July 1st to June 30th, so $firstsnowseason should still be '10/29/2011';?

Bump for

$firstsnowseason = '0/0/2012';
And
$snowseasonin = '4.800';   // Snow for season you have entered under input daily weather, inches

Should not $firstsnowseason be '10/29/2011';?

Ed,

It is the same for me. We got our first snow today but let me see what will happen with my snow tags after the daily reset. A the moment it reads:
Code: [Select]
$firstsnowseason = "0/0/2012";
$firstsnowseasonav = "06 of februari";

I cannot comment on the first tag yet but I cannot figure out the average because before 2012 it red "05 of december". It should read (after tonight) something like "11 of december". An other problem that could occur is when the are not any snowfall for an entire season. Will this routine count that out perhaps?

Brian, if you look into this is it possible to use the month number instead of name? For some reason the tag above is in Swedish.

The daily reset gave me:
Code: [Select]
$firstsnowseason = "9/1/2012";
$firstsnowseasonav = "06 of februari";

So I guess the first tag works right now. Do not know if it does a reset when going into a new year though...
The average is still not correct I'm afraid.

Labbs,

When does your snow season start?
I'm still showing $firstsnowseason = '0/0/2012'; The season here is July to June, My first snow of the season was Oct 29, 2011.
Its been unusually warm here Eastern US, no snow really.

Ed,
It's the same here in Sweden, July to June...
WD resets the snow season at Month 7

Normally we got our first snow in Nov or Dec so I cannot tell if the tag has been reset

Labbs,
Brian has fixed in latest release.  :)
$firstsnowseason = '%firstsnowseason%';
When first snow was in previous year.
