No the acurite service does not need to be running
In testing i did come across the situation you have where just the pressure shows
The trick is to not click on the register button in wd if you already were registered
Try removing then re adding the account, bridge
Do not click on the register

More on my local WD data not showing up on Acurite MBY site. After Re-booting the PC and stopping the acurite data service,  I have tried the steps suggested by Brian and still no data, but I notice that the time of last update, as shown on the MBY site for pressure, will change each time I do a "Test Data Send" .  That time stamp update is reliable, repeatable. The connection is there, just not getting the WD numbers to display on the Acurite MBY site. What settings could I have wrong in WD to keep the real data from being accepted when Acurite accepts the register command and Test Data command?
What should happen when one clicks the "Test Data Send" button?

Brian
I have removed the station, the site, altogether on My BackYard. Then registered it again with WD. The fact that the time stamp of the most recent data update keeps advancing on MBY suggest to me that something about my WD setup is not telling WD or keeping WD from sending the weather data. Where in all those configs could that be? Perhaps I will remove the WD software again using control panel, programs, etc. and manually remove the WD directory. Perhaps I need to use regedit to remove all vestiges of WD? Then do a new install of WD, and re-connect to MBY. What do you think? Is there a short cut? Gene

As posted above do not use the registration in wd
It's a one time only
Only use it if mbyw says you need to

I think the problem is I might be sending the signal strenght information incorrectly
i.e sometimes its sending 0
and so the data is then rejected
I am working with someone to see if that is indeed the case
(the pressure data does not have the signal strength data )

I finally figured out why sometimes WD would update OK to mybackyard weather and other times it would not
I was not correctly formated the sensor ID and also the wind direction
build 09 fixes both of those issues :)

also discovered the MAC address needs to be all upper case if any letters are entered

(change the lower case to upper case Gene and that should fix your problem)

(updates every 12 minutes)
console needs to be in USB mode 3 (logging mode) and you are using the new vers 1.2 of the separate data reader)
