Dailynoaareport and climatedataout data incorrect
« on: September 02, 2010, 11:21:57 AM »
The rain and wind data in the dailynoaareport and climatedataout files are incorrect for the 1st of September.
Rain shows as 00.00 but 0.73 was received yesterday. The wind values are also incorrect and there is no wind direction listed.
And the totals at the bottom of the two reports were not correct.

I tried builds 44 and 30 with the same results. I noticed the same problem on other sites using build 62.

I have reverted back to build 8 which puts the correct values in the two reports.

Dailyreport.html shows the 1st data correctly but calls it 30th.
This seems to happen every month now but it will probably correct itself tomorrow on past experience.

I also get this at the beginning of every month but sorts itself out by the 2nd of each month and which it did.

As Murry above, my wind data is also incorrect (b44) but for the 31st August and also 1st Sept which I will have to manually adjust. My log files are correct though??

Dailyreport.html shows the 1st data correctly but calls it 30th.
This seems to happen every month now but it will probably correct itself tomorrow on past experience.

I have been using WD since 2001 so I am aware of most of its idiosyncrasies.
It is NOT showing the 1st data correctly but calling it a different day as shown in the attached example.
The high and low temperatures are correct values for yesterday. But the rain and wind values are incorrect plus the wind direction is completely missing.

I also get this at the beginning of every month but sorts itself out by the 2nd of each month and which it did.

But today is the 2nd of the month. The typical end of month problem some people have is on the 1st of the month, not the 2nd.

Yes and No, it uploads the data for the 1st after midnight (i.e. very early on the 2nd) - that won't normally be updated again until very early on the 3rd.

Yes, I am aware of that. As I stated earlier, the temperature data that is in the dailynoaareport for the 1st is correct. It is just the rain and wind data for the 1st that is wrong.

Yes I know that, I didn't say I had a problem on the 2nd, I said it is corrected by the turn of the 2nd. My data showed up 30th Sept on the 1st Sept like 4wd. I have been using WD since 2005 so I am too aware of most of its idiosyncrasies and have witnessed this most if not every month but I wouldn't call this a problem.

My only problem is my wind speed/avg data in dailynoaareport for 31st Aug and 1st Sept had inaccuracies (b44) similar to you and which I have since corrected. All other data was correct comparing to my logfiles from the same dates.

I have the same problem, as can be seen here: http://www.wrightwoodweather.com/wxwinddetail.php
thanks to Mr. Conarroe's awesome scripts.

Temp is fine.  There was no rain.  But the wind values are wrong.

I am on build 43 and my dailynoaareport values are fine, but the climatedataout max temperature for the 31st of August is incorrect. http://www.planoweather.com/wxclimate.php?date=climatedataout82010

I would disagree. According to your dailynoaareport (and climatedataout) files, you had no rain yesterday (Sep 1) and a max gust of 3.5 mph.
But according to your home page and Hi/Low/Avg page, you had .20 inches of rain yesterday with a max gust of 18 mph.

Doh... #-o You are correct.

So, is the consensus the issue will correct itself, do we need to rebuild/re-import our monthly data, or switch to a new build?

Mine has corrected itself.  Although the wind values for the 31st look wrong.
