2 WD's Starting (Now Sorted)
« on: September 02, 2010, 05:49:20 AM »
Hi  all,

Could anyone  give me an idea as to why when I reboot my pc I get two WD's starting at the same time, I have to close one of them and let the other run?

Got me baffled this one

Many thanks

Geoff

As you can see I found out why.  I just need to know what entry needs to be removed.

Hi Mark,

Found my problem and cured it, in windows I went:- Start, Run, typed msconfig Enter, Start Menue, and found that there were two entries of WD both ticked to start at the same time on startup, I just unticked one of rhem, Saved and restarted the pc and everything was back to normal.??????????????

In my posting I showed where in the registry the double entries were.  But they had different starts to them .  One is "Delphi 3#Autostart" and the other is "Delphi 5#Autostart"  What is the correct one to delete?  They clearly are not the same.  And I have no idea what the number in front of it means.  Delphi is most likely the compiler that Brian uses.
