Problem getting new website to work
« on: September 08, 2010, 02:27:13 PM »
I recently tried to get a new website set up, using a template from carterlake.org. I followed the readme and most of the files seem to have uploaded to the directory (I see them in my host's control panel,) but the website is not live.
Here's the domain: nw3weather.co.uk
Any ideas?

I'm using 10.37P build 72

On that last screen shot, you haven't entered a filename, replace noname with index

Do you have a file ftplogfull.txt in your wdisplay directory? If so please post or attach it.

Are you sure you don't need to set a remote directory (on the connections page)? That's a question for your host.

Hey there
I think you need to setup file #29 testtags.txt to be converted to testtags.php

The times they are A-changin' - just like the weather, right?

I changed it to index but it still isn't showing.
I've attached a screenshot of my cPanel in case that helps with the question about the remote directory
Thanks for the assistance

You're uploading to a subdirectory called blr
http://nw3weather.co.uk/blr/index.htm

Can you change the domain name to point to that or upload to one level up?

 :D Mystery solved. Thank you
I've changed it now so I'll get the files uploaded again.

You are uploading files, but not to the right directory, based on the cpanel I would try /www
